HMS Trent to make its annual visit to VI

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- The Royal Navy vessel HMS Trent will visit the Virgin Islands as part of its routine regional engagement programme during the 2026 Atlantic Hurricane Season.
Personnel from the ship will participate in a range of activities across Tortola and the Sister Islands during the visit.
Some of the activities include a disaster management table-top exercise, visits to community and critical infrastructure sites, youth engagement activities, and demonstrations designed to support preparedness and resilience.
According to information from the Governor’s Office, the HMS Trent is expected to depart on Tuesday, September 1, 2026,
The HMS Trent is the second of the River-class patrol vessels for the Royal Navy. It is designed to perform both defensive and offensive operations.
