BALSAM GHUT, Tortola, VI- A prisoner at Her Majesty’s Prison (HMP) in Balsam Ghut on Tortola has reportedly threatened to kill a prison officer.

The accused, who our newsroom was told is serving life in prison for murder, also allegedly threw Pine Sol in the face of one of the prison officers.

The incident allegedly occurred on July 24, 2021.

Our newsroom was informed by prison sources that the Pine Sol got into the eyes of the prison officer.

The prisoner allegedly told the officer, “I must kill one of you all officer” and “I must kill one of you 3 Jamaican officers.”

Sources said the matter was reported to the police.

It is unclear if any charges have been laid.

Well that's what happens when you're slack. Everyone related to everyone so prison is a walk in the park for some of you. No punishment. People go there when they tired of paying bills and tax.

    Why would have to send their family...A prrfect solution will be to send them updeslun to their family and their roots. Why sjoildvth e UK foot the expense when at the end of their incarceration, most of them will be deported. Of uk/ bvi status and deported.That would be the perfect solution and well deserved..lifetime in an updeislun prison. Whh
    The USVI sends their long term prisoners to the mainland sans their family. Transportation by sea and land to wherever they will be secured is avaliable.

    You cant say life ain't really life. Some are serving a life sentence that they will never walk these streets again they will die in their cells.....while some are serving life with the possibility if parole after a certain amount if years starting at 30 (meaning they can apply for release after serving 30 years or the amount of years ordered by the court and it can still be denied)
