ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – His Majesty’s Customs in the Virgin Islands has launched an upgraded version of SailClear, the region’s electronic customs declaration system for yachts and pleasure craft.

The new release goes live today, Wednesday, July 15, 2026.

Stronger performance 

His Majesty’s Customs said the update delivers an improved user experience and stronger system performance, with enhancements designed specifically for boaters and maritime operators. 

“We’re excited to announce that upgraded versions of SailClear will go live on July 15, 2026. These updates are focused on YOU, with an improved user experience and stronger system performance,”  the department said in a social media post.

Problems should be reported 

Officials urged users to report any problems encountered during the transition so developers can respond quickly and maintain smooth operations. 

“We kindly ask that during this transition, please let us know immediately if you run into any issues. Your feedback helps us fix things fast and keep operations running smoothly,” the statement added.
