H.L. Stoutt was certainly passionate about educating his people. Times are different and our children are smarter, but shortcuts sometimes rule the day. Why write a paper when you can have AI write it for you? So teachers now have to find ways to make learning exciting. The children are good at sitting still and focusing, but it is focusing on their phone screens on Tic Tock etc and playing games. So it is important to educate new teachers now with brand new ideas on how to challenge our children. Old teaching techniques will not work with this set.

Make teaching, engineering, nursing, IT Technology, accounting and other needed areas a priority area for Scholarships and fund and re-energize the Scholarship Board. Many of us were recipients of scholarships and are now making our mark on our society. Give this generation a hand up and a chance to do the same. We just have to drive through our city to see that we are losing many of our young people.

Also, please, fund the technical school, add plumbing, electrical studies, architectural drawing, accounting and construction to the offerings there. We are doing a lot of talking, and we spend tons of money yearly, so we need to refocus on our youths and save them. The Bible says whatsoever we sow we shall reap. Let's sow good seeds.
