High Court trial for ‘Pumpkin’ Callwood hits a snag
This was made known in the High Court by Her Ladyship, the Honourable Madam Nicola P. Byers as she expressed her displeasure at what caused the delay in the trial.
It was the case of the Queen vs Nelson ‘Pumpkin’ Callwood that was slated. After a paper committal in the Magistrate’s court earlier this year Callwood’s case of alleged buggery and indecent assault as occasioned on September 8, 2015 was slated for this assizes.
Representing the crown was Crown Counsel Ms Leslie Ann Faulkner who told the court that the prosecution was ready to proceed with the trial but noted that the accused’s legal representative had some challenges.
The accused is represented by Attorney David A. Penn who told the court that he was not ready due to the time he was notified of the date. However, after giving certain directives Justice Byers set November 18, 2016 for report and has indicated that its very likely that the matter will not go through in this assizes but rather in the next which is in 2017.
Nelson Callwood aka `Pumpkin´ is currently serving seven years for buggery. He committed the act on a fellow inmate at the HM Prison in January 2009.
In 2014 he was also accused of being one of several prisoners fingered in a riot at Her Majesty’s Prison.

and stuff it down his.......throat.
It would be interesting to get some insight into the creating of Pumpkin. His parents, family, life and defining experiences as a child. Does he have a drug addiction now or inthe past?
