The Virgin Islands Department of Disaster Management (DDM) is forecasting that as a result of the weaker and northern part of a tropical wave traversing the region and being slightly enhanced by an upper-level trough, that will heighten the chances of showers today August 4, 2022, across the islands. ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – The Virgin Islands Department of Disaster Management (DDM) is forecasting that as a result of the weaker and northern part of a tropical wave traversing the region and being slightly enhanced by an upper-level trough, that will heighten the chances of showers today August 4, 2022, across the islands.

The DDM however has indicated that Less moist air settling over the area tonight will reduce shower activity.

The weather for today is forecasted as Mostly cloudy with a 70 percent or high chance of showers.

Tonight's conditions will be Partly cloudy with a 40 percent or moderate chance of showers.

Winds: East at 22 to 33 km/h or 14 to 20 mph with gusts possibly reaching 52 km/h or 32 mph.

Seas: 1.5 to 1.8 meters or 5 to 6 feet.

Sunset is forecasted to be around 6:51 pm this evening.
