First, in line for vaccination, Hon Malone said the second dose went well and as required, he will be monitored for 30 minutes after taking the dose.

Governor John J. Ranking after receiving his second jab remarked that it did not hurt and shared that his daughter is involved in vaccination in London, as such, he recognizes the importance of getting vaccinated for COVID-19.

“The risks involved is in not getting vaccinated, that’s the real risk and so I hope that other people will get vaccinated to help to open up the economy and help to keep everybody safe,” he said.

Other persons who received their second dose included Minister for Natural Resources, Labour and Immigration Hon Vincent O. Wheatley (R9) who also encouraged persons to get vaccinated and remarked that the vaccine is safe as recommended by his daughter, a Doctor in the UK.

"It's for your own safety" - Hon Vincent O. Wheatley

“I want to encourage everyone to take this vaccine, it’s for your own safety… the risks of not taking the vaccine is greater than the vaccine itself, we encourage everyone… the frontline workers, persons who come in contact with tourists to take the vaccine,” he said.

Journalists Cathy O. Richards, the first woman to receive the vaccine in the Virgin Islands (VI) on February 11, 2021, also received her second dose and remarked that she is full of hope for the future of the VI getting out of the pandemic by getting vaccinated.

Gov'ts vaccination drive continues

The government's COVID-19 vaccination drive continues where members of the public will first have to register via a special website to schedule their vaccination at a public clinic or visit an approved private medical institution.

According to the Health Minister, a person is deemed to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 two weeks after they have received both doses of an approved two-dose vaccine, such as AstraZeneca, Pfizer, or Moderna, and one shot of a single-dose vaccine such as Johnson & Johnson.

Of course their accounts may never be publicized. The UK has a database where all the adverse effects of the vaccine per person is reported and publicized. None here. We publicizing everything that is bright and shiny about the vaccine that is leading to more distrust of the vaccine and their agenda.

Oh btw as anyone seen the report regarding the investigation into Maria's death due to Covid?

It is not the anti covid-19 vaccines that have killed 3 million plus persons, the covid-19 virus and ignorance did. A lesser amount of pèople are dying, añd a greater amount are recovering after taking anti covid-19 vaccines.
Anti covid-19 vaccines like all other anti virus vaccines do have side effect, but not close to the deadly effect of ignorance and baseless suspicions common among many that live in the B.V.I.
Life is God's greatest gift to mankind, but fools die prematurely due to lack of wisdom. Wisdom is the right use of revealed knowledge and helpful availability. God is the source of knowledge, understanding, and wisdom.
