VALLEY, Virgin Gorda, VI - Their mission is to ensure that every resident, tourist or otherwise visitor is well primed up for Virgin Islands Festival 2013. The Hardcore band has taken on this mission and, to start things off, will be hosting a high tempo promotional party at Le Grand Cafe' in Tortola this Friday July 5, 2013.

A Soca Monarch competition would be featured as a main activity for the first time in the history of VI Festival and the ever popular and well known Hardcore band has done and will be doing more than their fair share to ensure that the first such season goes down as well written in the Territory's history books.

Prior to the 2013 Easter season, the band commenced working on a line of soca songs, which today has seen them producing an album. According to co-owner and lead vocalist of Hardcore band Mr Martino 'Tino' Mark, the album will be out on the market by the end of the new week. "What is going to be happening this Friday night is that we will be pumping these soca, they are ten songs and I am telling you they are hot and ready for the airwaves," Tino told Virgin Islands News Online in an exclusive interview.

The album is titled "De Carnival Callin" with 10 songs produced by Marcus "Young Blood" Mark. Tino said the band committed all its energy towards having the album out in time for the festival.

The promotional fete is scheduled to start at 8 P.M. at Le Grand Cafe and will see DJ Taz providing musical entertainment. However, most importantly will be performances by three 2013 Soca Monarch hopefuls who are all members of the Hardcore band and were successful at qualifying for the finals of the competition- Makisha 'Queen Makisha' Gordon,  Ras Beech and Martino 'Tino' Mark himself who has qualified for both the Groovy and Power categories.

Already a number of the songs that make up the album have been making an impression on the radio airwaves in clubs and at other social events and occasions. Those songs from the album include ‘Rise and Shine’, ‘Sumting I cud wuk wit’, ‘Good n bad’ and ‘mad people’.

The promoters of Friday night's activity said while a small fee of $10 will be charged to enter the party it is one that everyone should endeavour to attend especially those on Tortola and Virgin Gorda. "We want you to have a taste of what a real soca party is like, what a real good album your own has produced, and the soca songs that the band members are going with for the soca monarch," Tino stated in an interview at their Valley, Virgin Gorda base.
