Why doesn't Pier Park have armed police walking around daily to avoid these kinds of actions? If these thieves knew there were armed police around, I doubt very much they would keep this up.

The pressure on the poor is rising fast, and more of this and other crimes can be expected because humans by nature is the second to most wicked creature that God created ater the fall of, Eve, and, Adam, according to biblical scriptures. But that haven't gave gunmen any right to rob a jewelry store at Peir Park, Wicham's 2, same as it did not gave the current government Cabinet members raised theirs and other political leaders salary, secretely unknown for a years or more by the general B.V.I people.

We all must realize, though, that gun crimes is still on the rise here in the BVI, and it is everyone's duty to do whatever able to do, if able, to help curb its negative effects. All persons that have any information of this crime should co-operate with the RVIPF full as soon as possible. Gun crimes must not be allowed to happen without a forceful response, neither should other ways of theft, political theft not excluded.

I am angry. More sp with the criminal elements internal or external who seem to do at will whatever they choose in these Virgin Islands with no fear of being brought to justice.
Some of my anger is directed towards the departments responsible for keeping us safe more so the Police Department.
The Pier Park serves as a vital vein for the economy. Thousands of people come ashore from cruise ships each season and it is a.place where locals hangout with their family. Their safety should not be compromised by thugs discharging firearms at will in effort to commit their brazen acts in broad day light without beong challenged.
How long before we have an arm Police Unit in this area? Once, twice three times and all we get is reacted Policing
Where are our Police Officers? One could hardly see a Patrol preasence in any district unlesd they are driving by in their nice air conditioned vehicles or hiding in some corner issuing tickets.
Mr/ Ms.Commisioner have you heard of imteligenge gathering and Analysis? With this method, you are able to gather information, develope inteligence, form links and assocostions and predict or forecast where and how these criminals act and where they are likely to strike next.
I can say more but thats all for now.

It's called learnt behaviour. The criminals are watching the police- where they go, what they are doing, the shift changes, insider knowledge from too friendly, familiar, and family related police. Look at the station, someone is watching you all right there, all the time. No joke ppl you all are being watched. Look how them man wait until the ship leave. They in the pier park watching those people too. Learnt behavior. They see the "beefed up" security at the park is at a level not too far from when they first robbed that store. Place need armored security. Just like them man see that police is not stopping people with illegal tint. You see less police around the place. They see those mobile cameras are certain places...where are the rest of them? Should be posted at alternative route points; less trafficked areas - but then again what do I know? I guess I'm just learning by watching you too.

Again? That’s what everyone must be thinking. There’s something wrong with this story. Why hasn’t the police solved this case yet? Are they not interested in solving it, or are there people involved on the inside? Why is it always the same store? I wonder how the competitors see this, and what they do to avoid it. Or maybe they don’t need to avoid it at all?

It's time to catch these predators. When you do catch them, put them in prison for a long time. I'm glad no one inside the establishment was injured. Why don't these lowlifes get a job and stop robbing people who actually work hard for their money?

Today you going see 5 police with Guns for about 2 weeks, then you will see none, or one that always hiding..Pier Park weak security will always be a target for robbery. These Jewelry stores with 100 of millions of $$ in stock needed to be a security priority...3 times in 2 yrs....Boiled down to a whole lof of carelessness, from PP management, Store owner, onsite security and police security...Carelessness,. Though these criminals are not very smart, they will get caught, can't ignore the careless of all invilved for security..

Seems like he was right...

I read all the comments but the question has to be asked, why House of Luxury every single time and no other store. This is not a Pier Park issue in security but rather an individual business that seriously needs to revamp how the do things. Police presence or not if they don't make internal changes they will always be robbed. Criminals always get caught eventually they slip up. House of Luxury make the necessary changes

Why don’t we correct our neighbors child while they are soft and easy to discipline? Why we don’t be role models to the youth? Everything is Police police police… hope when they enter the wrong place and see God they can use Police as an excuse for their lifestyle of crime and wickedness.

Police you all are clearly lazy. How is it that no one checked the cameras to see who all looks suspicious, who all are there just watching everything and everyone's business,to check the timing of what everyone does. Police use your brain..go look at footages from months ago to now. Check familiar faces, faces that you keep seeing people who's not buying things but watching things. It's not hard to look at how these robbers walk and compare the walk to people who's there just watching the place out. Body language, voice and eyes is the best way to catch criminals
