The welcome dinner party was all about celebrating the Virgin Islands and also a chance for the guests to experience a taste of the Caribbean. At the event, guest were treated to sumptuous island cuisine, tasty tropical cocktails and live local entertainment.

‘Hottest swimwear & resort show on earth’

The annual event, which is headed by indigenous Virgin Islander Mr Terry T. Donovan, Summer Sizzle BVI founder, is in its ninth year and the Swim and Resort Runway Show is the first of its kind.

According to Mr Donovan, this year’s event is special because most of the models and designers are visiting the Virgin Islands for the first time.

“As a VIslander, I’m always very proud to invite other people to come and visit our shores,” adding that models from Virgin Islands (British), US Virgin Islands (USVI), Curacao from the Faces Model Organsiation, London, New York, Texas Puerto Rico, St Maarten, Trinidad and Tobago, St Kitts and Nevis, Cayman Islands and Grenada “will all be walking the runway in our BVI Swim and Resort show and Global Glamour runway show.”

The Summer Sizzle BVI founder emphasised that the VI Swim show will be the “hottest swimwear and resort show on earth.”

“If you want to see sexiness. If you want to see lots of skin, the show is the place to be. It’s going to be nothing but glamour, glitz and fabulosity on the runway. You will never see beach and resort wear look so good,” said Mr Donovan.

During the event, guests were treated to spectacular entertainment by Evolution Band and Tortola Dance Project.

Jessica Jarrell & B’More to host Swim show

Jessica Jarrell, American R&B/Pop artiste and actress and B’More, the VI’s very own local artiste, will host this year’s first ever Swim and Resort runway show at the Multi-Purpose Sports Complex in Road Town on Friday, July 21, 2017.

Patrons will be in for a treat, when international and local models and designers will showcase their talents.

•July 20 - A Taste of BVI/Welcome Dinner Party at Myett’s Cane Garden Bay at 8:00 P.M.

•July 21 - BVI SWIM Runway Show at Multi-Purpose Complex & VIP Private Pool Party at 7:30 P.M.

•July 22 - Global Glamour Runway Show at Multi-Purpose Complex & VIP After Party at 7:30 P.M., VIP Cocktail Reception at 6:30PM – 7:30 P.M.
