ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI– Minister for Health and Social Development, Hon Carvin Malone (AL) has revealed that guardians of unaccompanied young children who travel to the territory amidst the COVID-19 pandemic have been refusing to quarantine.

“Issues have arisen when the guardians who come to collect them then refuse to be quarantined with these minors or refuse to pay for quarantine devices for these minors,” he said during a Monday, September 20, 2021, COVID-19 update.

As such, the minister said Cabinet has enacted measures to bring a solution to these challenges.

“Cabinet decided that where an unaccompanied minor, who is unvaccinated or partially vaccinated, arrive at the port of entry, they, along with the parent or guardian, must be subject to quarantine and exit testing at the same time as the unaccompanied minor.”

Law will dictate & guide expectations - Hon Malone

“Again, where there are issues of non-compliance and non-cooperation, we must let the law dictate and guide expectations,” Hon Malone said.

As of September 20, 2021, the VI has 47 active COVID-19 cases. 12 were discovered on entry testing.

35 of the 47 active cases have been discovered in the VI community.

I didnt see tbe amt of days, is 4,- 7. - 10, -or 14. I support they be quarantined. I dont support 14 days for someone who has no record of been positive but precautionary measures are necessary..14 days is torture...

Why in the hell are still talking about quarantine???? No place else in the regular world is there a Quarantine order of any sort. Vaccinated, PCR test before you land and go bout your business. This government and the leaders of this pandemic are useless and visionless

Incorrect. Fully vaccinated I quarantined twice for 2 weeks in Australia, once on the East Coast and once in the West Coast back to back! The stringent regulations here have enabled Western Australia a travel boom with the only evidence of the pandemic - hand sanitiser and QR codes to act as signing in sheets.

St. Kitts quarantine for vaccinated persons moved from 9 days to 4 days now, but for unvaccinated persons remains at 14 days.

Many countries are mandating quarantine for even vaccinated travelers...Barbados, Grenada, St. Kitts just to name a few....

Dont forget thst some of the unvaccinated are residents of this country that teturning home. I have seen first hand how some of our locals act a fool at the port of entry when officials inform them of what is expected of them. We need to remember the workers at the port are only taking instruction. If people are not satisfied with port protocols then call your district rep or the ministers responsible.

You choose to travel, you pay the cost. If it is for medical reasons it should be covered in insurance. The tax payers should not pay for you or your child to gallavant.

Opposites are spiritual, and natural reality in this world.
    Bad opposes good
    Up the opposite of down.
    Black the opposite white.
    Rich the opposite poor.
Satan the opposite the righteous God.
    Guilty the opposite of innocent
    Antivaxxers oppose vaxxers.
    Health the opposite of sickness.
    Hate the opposite of love.
Stupidity the opposite of knowledgeable wisdom.
Greedy politicians the opposite of good governance.
    Apositivity the opposite of negativity.
    Death the opposite of life.
Hon. Minister of health, Carvin Malone, stop allowing these persons that are set in their way stress you out, and cause you to die of stressovirus mental decease. There is no vaccines yet developed against stressovirus syndromic decease.
Have before ever heard about stressovirus syndromic decease? If not, you just now did.

Sounds good and simple doesn't it?
      All binary choices and states.

In reality very few things in life are such straightforward positions. You presumably see yourself as a 'good' person. So, you've never done anything 'bad', ever?

Having this binary state is ludicrous - nothing we see anywhere that requires our attention is so clear.

Please try to develop some pragmatism. And a dose of reality.

Large dislike response numbers is not a true indicator of what make sense, and what do not.
    Don't be fooled by numbers.
In the game of golf, the lower number wins the game
One (1) though the smallest number is the greatest one. Why one (1)? Because it is the first, and all others that are bigger follow it. God is united in oneness.
Hin. Health Minister At Large Rep., Carvin Malone, stop trying to please everyone. Different vaccines brands are not our lack. We simple lack good knowledge, and the common sense how to use it. God tried. Though He did not failed, His enemies are pretending that He, rather than they are, the failure. Unity begins with connection with God. Know God, know unity. No God, no unity. It is that simply.
Unity among the people of the B.V.I is like trying to snapshot a picture of the air with your cell phone camera or a video. Unity with God is possible.
