Greenland without water for 2 weeks due to broken pipe

According to reports reaching Virgin Islands News Online, residents have been without water supply from the public system for some two weeks now and, according to at least two residents, they were told that the responsible department has been prevented from fixing the problem because a motor car is parked over a broken pipe.
Residents vent frustration on social media
Directed to the Facebook post of one Noida Meade for more information, the following was stated in a post of Friday July 15, 2016: “No water for 2 weeks now in my area of Greenland. Water and Sewerage advised that the reason is that a car is parked over a broken pipe and they can’t find the owner of the car. Now, I am under the impression that if they never to find this person I guess we will continue to suffer because of one person. Made suggestions to cap off the pipe leading to that house [but] they told me that can’t work. It is very frustrating, especially having tenants. Would love to get any feedback or suggestions.”
Makayla Charles commented: “Post it all over FB, VINO will put it on the news [and] they will come and fix it. I know your frustration. And that's what I did. Calling and asking for help didn't work, which is sad. After posting on FB the following day all was well. All they have to do is tow the car. W&S really makes me wonder.”
Leona Smith said: “No excuse for that nonsense...they could have come better than that 2 weeks...let it had less to one of the officials house or someone who on them team...vehicle gone problem fixed...”
On the other hand, one caller to this news site said they are shocked at the length of time the problem has been in existence and called on the Eighth District Representative and Junior Minister for Trade and Investment Promotion, Hon Marlon A. Penn, to intervene urgently.
“Come Hon Marlon Penn you know we love you but it seems you gone sleep on us down here now… get this fixed please, do your job please its two weeks, two weeks too long… totally unacceptable.”
This news site was otherwise told that the problem was caused as a result of a main pipe that was broken by a tow truck.
Efforts to reach Hon Penn and officials of the Water and Sewerage Department for comments, were not successful up to time of publication.
Only recently in Virgin Gorda, residents there complained about the slothfulness of W&SD workers in addressing issues of broken mains.
