DUFF’S BOTTOM, Tortola, VI- Head of the Electrical Inspections Unit Mr Macgregor Williams aka 'Gregor' has passed.

Mr Williams was an A Class Electrical Inspector who was well known in the Virgin Islands community.

Words of condolences were offered by Premier and Minister of Finance Hon Andrew A. Fahie (R1), Opposition Leader Hon Marlon A. Penn (R8) and Minister for Transportation, Works and Utilities Hon Kye M. Rymer (R5) at the Ninth Sitting of the Third Session of the Fourth House of Assembly of the Virgin Islands today, May 13, 2021, at the Save the Seed Energy Centre in Duff’s Bottom.

'True stalwart' & 'stellar civil servant'

Premier Fahie, in expressing condolences to the family, colleagues and friends of Mr Williams, said the public service has lost “a true stalwart” and a very good young man.

Hon Penn recalled participating in track events with Mr Williams in high school and described the late public servant as a stellar civil servant.

Hon Rymer said himself and Mr Williams, who was from the Fifth District, had a long history of sports and working together.

“Before he passed I visited him and we had some interesting conversations,” Hon Rymer said, adding that he has visited the grieving family.

“I know how difficult it will be in times like this but I offer my condolences to the family…”

          How is people business when he is my first cousin. On the street you said when the hospital done had his name in the street that he die before his own father and mother had know. Who ask you said I said it cause everyone passing away and people thinking it cause off the vaccine and I felt to clear that up.

      Sorry local girl my cousin been sick for 2 years and no he didnt took the vaccine he had cancer so the word or grapevines need to get them information correct next time.

    Very sad...Lots of these sicknesses people are dying from are Evil, Spiritual War Fare against good people, because of hate, jealousy, vengeance, spite and envy, When you get a Spiritual attack no Doctor, no medicine, no diet can save you, only a higher spirityal power can help you.. Believe it or not, this thing is real...Hope his family find comfort in the almighty..
