Governor Rankin takes 2nd COVID-19 booster; 4th jab in total

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Governor John J. Rankin, CMG has taken his 2nd booster against COVID-19 and has urged persons to also get immunised against the Covid-19 virus.

Mr Rankin took his booster shot on August 10, 2022, at Dr D. Orlando Smith Hospital.

The Governor, according to Government Information Services (GIS) on August 12, 2022, said he was grateful to be able to get his second booster, which is his fourth COVID-19 injection in total.

Another shipment of vaccines from UK being discussed

The Governor said the UK has so far made nine deliveries of vaccines to the VI, with the current shipment of the adult Pfizer vaccine due to expire at the end of September.

During a press conference on August 10, 2022, Governor Rankin said he was in discussions with the Chief Medical Officer about a further delivery of vaccines this autumn.

“While the impact of COVID and numbers of cases appears to have reduced, vaccines remain the best way to protect our community and freedoms, with previous restrictions now largely lifted. I urge those of you who can to vaccinate, even if you have not yet had your first dose. It is not too late," Governor Rankin added.

 A second booster is available to those considered vulnerable or over 65 years old. Persons can call 494-3497 to book their vaccination appointments at their community clinics.

    COVID went out of date as the war with Russia started.


    From day one of that war, not a soul was wearing a mask, now don't get me wrong cause all the deaths meant something. But not a soul getting me to take another jab for that.

      You will say that now but when the fall comes and you have to be up to date with the shot to be fully vaccinated you will see. The world health organization said it's ever 9 months. Get ready to use your body to shop. I bet your glad to sell your soul for an hoax of a virus which they put in the vacuum to fight off the virus.

    If anyone wants another jab you can have mine. The human body can only take so much stuff being injected into them. Eventually, it will kill you or make you terribly sick. Just keep masking, distancing, and cleaning and you should be safe.

    Sick of all of you and your psychological games and photo ops! What I mean by that is, the UK and all their reps, our own elected officials, Government 'burro-crats', and everyone else that is holding this country back!

    Why is this even newsworthy? Whether he takes his shot or not should be a personal decision done privately. This exhibition is unlikely to influence anyone who has not taken the shot/ or booster to take it. If anything it would cause more persons to distrust the vaccine.

    What about the persons who have had severe even fatal side effects from taking the jab and whose voices will never be heard or they will never be compensated. Sad but true. What they have done by coercing many to take an experimental vaccine that has led to loss of life is sad and disturbing and downright wickedness. This has led to more distrust in the medical science industry.

      @Tongue you are on point. Who cares if the Governor, the Premier, Magistrate, or Queen Elizabeth takes it? I don't give a hoot who wants to take it. I don't care what position you hold. Your body is your body and my body is my body -- I mean the Temple of God. I don't care bout your photo ops. If I drop down or become severely injured will you take care of my affairs? NOPE!! Keep your booster business and other vaccines to yourself. No one really cares.
