NORTH SOUND, Virgin Gorda, VI – “I like the fact that we are nature’s little secret but I want people to come in abundance and discover this little part of nature’s little secret. It’s time for business; it’s time that business gets going,” proprietor of Fat Virgin Café, Mrs Esther P. Wheatley stated.

Entrepreneurs from several business entities at Virgin Gorda, surrounding islands and resorts joined the management and staff of Fat Virgin last night, October 19, 2013, in saying farewell to the off peak season and welcoming the season of business and new money.

In an exclusive interview with Virgin Islands News Online, Mrs Wheatley said management was grateful to have the business season back in full swing. “We are very grateful to our many business partners who have been coming year in year out to join us in ushering in the season that we all look forward to.”

The business partners, associates and friends were all in agreement that the past closed season was one that was hardest felt by the business sector. The few hours spent at the party titled “Fat Virgin end of slow season party” saw almost everyone glued to their seat talking about the hardship of the times.

Persons broke intermittently to grab a bit of one of Fat Virgin’s best line up of buffet finger food and to wish their fellows in the business arena a productive open fall season. “Let get the money flowing now, big buck time,” one entrepreneur was overheard saying.

The past season was described as one of the hardest felt as a consequent of the state of the economy. “Everyone is in a rush to open I see. I thought we all would have been reopening from Monday but boy everyone is reopened. The times are so tough now, every day closed is costing so much,” said another businessman.
