SEA COWS BAY, Tortola, VI- In a show of gratitude to the people who help to mould the young minds to take up their roles in society, the members of the 2nd Virgin Islands Company of the Girls' Brigade recently made a donation of supplies to Ebenezer Thomas Primary School in Sea Cows Bay.

The supplies were accepted by Principal Sybil S. Hodge, who expressed gratitude to the Girls' Brigade for their kind gesture.

As one of the service activities of the 2nd Virgin Islands Company of Girls’ Brigade, the girls came up with an Adopt-a-teacher initiative as they wanted to give back to the teachers at their school.

Fundraising

In order to raise funds for the initiative, a ‘Stay-at-home Tea Party was held.

The supplies were purchased from companies owned by past members of the 2nd VI Company of the Girls' Brigade: Ms Kishma Forbes of Virgin Islands School and Office Supplies and Ms Yanique Smith of Pen 2 Paper Stationery.

The Girls' Brigade is an Interdenominational Christian Organisation that follows a four-sided programme of Physical, Spiritual, Education, and Service; at home, in church, and in the community.
