KINGSTOWN, Tortola, VI - The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force announced on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, that an investigation has begun into a confirmed armed robbery at a popular business at the Cyril B. Romney Tortola Pier Park. The incident occurred around 2:00 PM the same day, and our News Centre was the first to report on the incident.

According to the RVIPF, preliminary reports indicate that masked men armed with firearms entered the establishment, stole items, and escaped via a motor vessel. Shots were reportedly fired during the robbery, but no injuries have been reported.

Getaway vessel seized

Following this incident, officers responded quickly and initiated their investigations. Reports state that the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force has taken into custody a boat believed to have been used as the getaway vessel in the daring daylight robbery. 

The vessel was found abandoned on the beach behind Clarence Thomas Ltd in the Kingstown area after 3:00 PM.

Investigations continue 

The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force has indicated that they will continue their investigation into the incident.
