ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- The Office of Gender Affairs will be highlighting the importance of job inclusiveness in keeping with this year’s International Women’s Day theme ‘I am generation equality: Realising women's right’.

According to Gender Affairs Coordinator, Ms Tara Sue Morgan, in a press release, International Women’s Day 2020 focuses on inspiring the younger generation to create gender equality and activities will include having female professionals who work in male dominated fields to inspire the younger generation.

Ms Morgan said, “We are planning to visit the schools with some female professionals that are making great strides in their professional arena regardless of their gender.”

The coordinator said the International Women’s Day activities will also allow for people to come together no matter their gender, age, ethnicity, race, religion and country to create the equality they deserve.

International Women’s Day is observed annually worldwide on March 8, 2020 to recognise the contributions of women in all their diversities.

The Office of Gender Affairs is charged with developing and implementing policies and programmes that promote gender equity and equality in the Virgin Islands.

you make me sad. Women and men both have good among them and bad. Should we use a few to condemn the whole bunch. Since you see women as prostitutes, May I ask who they are prostitutes. let us appreciate each other and not tear down

We are prostitutes just like you men are four legged dogs that walks on two legs. Maybe we have to be prostitutes to feed the child/children that you don’t support. A woman gotta do what she gotta do.
