ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) has apprehended Jamal Freeman, who has been wanted since January 1, 2024.

Freeman's capture follows his escape from custody while seeking medical assistance after being arrested for theft-related incidents.

Police had said Freeman was at Nurse Iris Oneal Clinic in Virgin Gorda seeking medical attention when he turned fugitive.

According to the RVIPF in a press release late April 9, 2024, persistent efforts by officers resulted in Freeman's apprehension and subsequent charges.

Freeman, 29, of Long Look, has been charged with two counts of Theft, Resisting Arrest, Assault on Police, Escaping Lawful Custody, and Landing Without the Leave of an Immigration Officer.

He appeared at the Magistrates Court and was remanded to His Majesty’s Prison until his next court appearance.

Is there a reason the police can never give the public proper information? Let's start with where he was found.

Then youall always want the public to work with you
