NANNY CAY, VI- For the second year, The Waterwheel Foundation is partnering with Virgin Islands Search and Rescue (VISAR) Winter Wonderland to provide a free night of skating to the Virgin Islands community.

The free event is today, December 20, 2023, from 5:00 PM- 8:45 PM at Nanny Cay and all are encouraged to attend.

First come, first serve!

Persons will be allowed to skate on a first-come-first-serve basis; however, guests can only book one skating session per person.

According to a press release on December 19, 2023, children under 7 years of age may skate along with an adult from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM. After 8:00 PM, children under 7 years of age may not be able to skate for the safety of everyone on the ice.

Persons must bring socks or purchase a pair at the rink for $5.00.

“We are so grateful to The WaterWheel Foundation and the fans of the American Rock Band PHISH for donating the funding which provides the BVI territory a night of fun for the entire family,” stated Julie Schneider, owner of Purpose Driven Consultants and Project Manager for VISAR’s Winter Wonderland.

The night will also feature music by DJ Turbo Sounds, food and sweet treats from Flavourful Treats, KK’s Cuisine & Catering, and KC’s Hotspot, and games including a virtual reality ride from Kids at Heart.

They are not in the Pier Park by choice. The park wanted Coney Island instead so skating had to find a new location
