'Foxy' a no show @ traditional Old Year’s party on JvD
Persons from around the world, including those who did special charters from neighbouring US Virgin Islands (USVI), Puerto Rico and other nearby countries, along with persons from the Virgin Islands, were given a treat of a life time with on and off stage entertainment throughout the night.
It all started at the break of day on December 31, 2019 when many persons made their way over to the sister island, which has been ranked for many years as one of the top destinations to ring in the New Year.
Musical entertainment
The large crowd was entertained by the legendary Third World Band, Noise Cans Band, Spectrum Band, a slight taste of the soca sensation Skinny Fabulous and VI Dance Project.
It was the third time that Third World was featured at Foxy’s but the first for Noise Cans, which thoroughly entertained the audience.
No Foxy
Notably absent from the celebrations; however, was the Virgin Islands cultural icon and tourism ambassador, Mr Philiciano O. Callwood, MBE, aka ‘Foxy’.
According to family members, ‘Foxy’ has not recovered from the family feud which necessitated them doing what they felt was in the best interest of the family- getting rid of a man, David Dietrich, who they believed was orchestrating moves to potentially scam the elderly ‘Foxy’ in a major way.
Dietrich, who was very close to ‘Foxy’, quit simultaneously with being fired by the family on October 14, 2019.
Despite the ongoing challenges, the family insisted they genuinely love their ‘Foxy’ and did not hold back from letting the world know.
Leading out with a touching statement on stage moments after the count down to the New Year, one of the sons of Mr Callwood, Dean Callwood, said: “From all of us, Tessa, my brother Greg and [sister] Justine, I want to say, no matter what we go through, we love you, we wish you were here, we love you Foxy.”
Being saluted as the woman behind the scenes who ensures the event is nothing but a success, an emotional Tessa Callwood, Mr Callwood’s wife, said: “We are so overwhelmed that you guys love us and you came out. We are so glad you love us, we are so glad you are having a wonderful time, we love you, Happy New Year.”

Foxy is acting a bit weird so its best that his family call the shots before the business get rundown to the ground.
To d**** and his water taxi driver. It's obvious that you were counting on our family business to retire. With all your dirty little tricks. But word of advice? The off springs are not as soft and blind as the old man. What's really a shame is that the bvi government has not banded people like those to white water taxi drivers as yet. The family has had a major relief by getting rid of it's garbage.
"Green Water" was Sprite! David was decisive delusional and destructive he wasn't even a good Drunk.
To my Dear Brother George - Forgive, Forget and be Merry for tomorrow we all Shall Die.
