Foot to join HMP in Dec. 2013; Gregg & Percival promoted

Mrs Mathavious said she was not at liberty to discuss the direct date that the UK national will be in the Territory to take up the position but reliable sources have informed this news site that Mr Foot is expected on or around December 9, 2013.
In the meantime, informed sources have confirmed that Mr Linford Gregg has assumed most of the leadership roles at HMP and has since been promoted to Deputy Superintendent of Prison (Ag.).
Mr Royston Percival is now Assistant Superintendent of Prison (Ag.).
Mrs Mathavious and the office of Governor Mr Boyd McCleary said they were not at liberty to release information about the promotions as they were personal to the individuals and it would have been against proper principle to do so. Information from the Governor’s office advised that such information is in the hands of the Ministry of Education and Culture, which is responsible for the daily operations of HMP.
The promotion of the two officers falls on the heels of former Superintendent of Prison (Ag.) Mr Charles Forbes, an indigenous Virgin Islander, being forced out of the system. Mr Forbes’ contract was not renewed by Government allegedly based on the recommendation from the Ministry of Education and Culture and the National Security Council.
It is being circulated that there are other promotions looming at HMP even as efforts are being forged to recruit new officers.

this $%^& could never have happen under the VIP..its a island man minister looking out for his island people shame shame shame on we but a next election is coming
Stop using my name to talk nonsense. You all know full well that regardless of what the Premier or Minister says the last say for these decisions lies with the Governor. H****r is the one that frig Charles from the time he was the Deputy with all the bad things he told the ministry and Governor. There's nothing Myron could have done in this case. Matter of fact is that 3 other locals were put up for Superintendent and were knocked down by the Governor. The sad thing is that you all know better but have no problem spewing lies all over. Myron has done some sh!t since he's in power so if you want to bash the man bash him truthfully but don't make up sh!t just to sound good and saying it over and over. These same 'island' men were senior officers when VIP was in there. Holder, who is from Barbados was head of prison under VIP. McMaster before him where is he from? Same thing. Isn't it under VIP that Kenton Callwood, our indigenous as you all over to say, was removed from Prison? Stop the foolishness man the internet is here and we can access all information we need so no need for blatant lies. Myron cannot appoint these officers and you know it.
1) who reporting later for work? Islanders Locals?
2) who absenting themselves from duty for days without just reasons because they were corrected?
3) who borrowing prisoners money?
4) who taking rum into the prison and other contribands and illegal substance and cell phones?
5) who having relations with male prisoners? Islanders or locals?
6) who cleans up the MESS repeatedly caused by the Locals year in and year out for decays?
TALK THAT!
