No opportunities for the High School and College students in this place at all. At graduation they will tell them that they are the men and women of tomorrow, but what do they do to help them? They continue to recycle the same people from department to department thereby hindering the progress of the young people. When is it going to stop?

My work is dealing with the public. I can tell you majority of young people are their own problem. Rude, disrespectful, can't take instruction, quick to threaten bosses when they been disciplined..truth is most bosses are avoiding them, don't want to deal with them.. Older people are much easier to managed...It is sad..I try to figure it out and all I can think is that, someone with rent and loan and bills to pay monthly, seems to be the difference in thinking.

Young people, well Ms. Industrious isn't old. What they need to do is retire the real old people and stop frustrating mature people and allow them to perform the duties they are capable of, so there is no need to retire so young. We don't have enough funds in the budget for all these mature people (under 45 and under 50) who retiring. Social Security kicking in at 65.

She retires, gets full non-contributory pension.and back to work at Govt....Then.we say politicians are the problem? Then we wonder why we do not have adequate funding for important matters? Dig deep!
  • It appears that a new person joins the RDA every week.

RDA is the future...RDA has strong, no nonsense Knowledgeable leadership in Mr. Mac Master...If we had used the services oc RDA in the Complex rebuilt it would have long done and fully occupied...If we had used RDA in the DDM building we would have had a finished building already occupied. Not an ugly skeleton up Mac Namara hill. .Money done..Who is responsible?

The question I have is why is there still a RDA? Why not fix public Works once and for all and get these things done? Clearly RDA performs the administrative role of PWD and no one in Govt is doing anything to fix this issue. Yet still the Premier is hell bent on talking bout independence when we have no systems in place that work. We can't even decide what role PWD plays in the grand scheme of things

What projects are the RDA currently involved in? Seems to be overstaffed with little or nothing to show for it.

RDA might have had good intentions when started. But as usual it will be ruined by bloat and everyone and their mother will want to run there.

The RDA designs, procures and implements projects and has the technical knowledge and expertise to function this way. That’s a far cry from what PWD offers whose primary focus seems to be asphalt works.

Because of the RDA the Fish Bay Road is finally fixed. Several major weather events and no flooding has happened at Fish Bay. That alone is a testament to their productivity and problem solving ingenuity. The RDA also executed the Ballast Bay Road, Great Mountain Road, the JVD School, the New Buildings at ESHS, and several Administration Buildings at North Sound and the Valley, VG in addition to JVD and Anegada Admin Buildings. And there is so much more.

The Jeffrey Caines Sports Arena in VG was built back by the RDA. I don’t know why people knock progress instead of holding on to what is good to take the Territory forward.

Govt is directly responsible for the DDM building and the Complex and up to now, nothing can be delivered. Tell
    Me what’s happening there?

The RDA has and continues to do great work and they are busy with the Trellis Bay Welcome Centre and building the new the Eslyn Henley Richiez Learning Centre. By next year, the Territory’s largest public infrastructure project, the West End Ferry Terminal Project will break ground, a 20 year promise and it would be delivered under the remit of the RDA.
