ESTATE BOVONI, St Thomas, USVI- Two champions in a WINNER TAKES ALL showdown that left the crowd on its feet.

Pure Speight versus Floki’s Flight– head--to-head, stride for stride, with only one horse crossing the line first.

Feel the thunder. Hear the roar.

This was the hype by the organisers of the Labour Day Races at Clinton E. Phipps Racetrack on St Thomas, US Virgin Islands, regarding the feature race today, August 31, 2025.

The race certainly lived up to the hype, as it was a neck-and-neck affair in the 2-horse race, but in the end, Floki’s Flight handed Pure Speight a loss.

Pure Speight held a slim lead for parts of the race but could not create distance against Floki’s Flight, who held on until it made a move at the bottom end of the race and held off Pure Speight on the home straight.

The winning jockey was Kevin Krigger, who has been a leading jockey in Washington State.

Pure Speight was ridden by Sunday Diaz.

More details to follow.

We live in the bvi and we want our own race track - ask the scarecrow eho is keeping his master's seat warm until he gets back , what kind of rodeo games he is playing with us , and then ask yourself when am I going to be our Premier / some people say you might have done a better job on the race track fiasco that he failed to settle ????

Why you all on the premier when it’s the Thomas family put a ridiculous price to lease piece of land with nothing on it.
If he gives in to that ridiculous demand , 90% of tola people will be against him so the 10 % of you all go to st Thomas to watch horse race.
