You don’t know if it’s truly Good Friday
That’s the calendar that was made and chosen
You guys think that’s so important? To cook salt fish and no meat ? Everything is tradition

It’s wild how some people will find every excuse not to get up for a 6AM prayer Zoom or to attend church at 8, 9, or 10AM — but have no problem getting ready for a 4AM jam. And the way they try to justify it? Even crazier.

Everyone knows that for years, Good Friday comes with alcohol restrictions. Yet, for those few hours, it’s like some folks lose all sense. Are they enslaved by booze, sex, and drugs?

And let’s be real — more than half of those same people won’t be in church tomorrow. But come Tuesday? The excuses start flowing again about why they “ain’t feeling work.”

On the coverage, their were big bad words singing out by this Dominican band. First time hearing such in the Virgin Islands. Festival comitee please brief such individuals and let them know what our standards are. Children were in the midst, that was not our culture, looked like a fan based show.

I am a Dominican and I agree with you... was very distasteful. This never used to be part of his signature but guess the hype and the wrong set of people in his ear.... I could never support that type of music... out culture has change and I can't say it's for the best..... but apparently it's what appealing to the younger people. Slackness disguised as fun.... there are young kids in the midst exposed to such vulgarity. And before anyone come asking why kids in the midst and thought it was a festival inclusive of all ages. It's not a private session it's open to all.... I'm never supporting a festival that my kids can't be apart of without me having to shield them ears. BVI people that are angry the rest of the Caribbean islands understand as too find the current entertainment industry slack but it's the current market apparently and the young people of here gravitated towards it

    BVI weird

We have law in place to have no bars and no sale of alcohol for good Friday but the following day we showing our birthday suits grinding on each other

Best we change the law and leave the day like a normal day

I'm sure the unruly youths and adults would love that

But if BVI go through a next crisis y'all be the first one calling out to God but God will never turn his back on you even then..

Have mercy on them Lord for they know not what they do.
