ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Small business owners from the 5th District community got the opportunity to showcase their products and services today, December 23, 2023, as part of the first-ever 5th District Business Expo that was hosted at the Multi-Purpose Sports Complex.

Minister for Communications and Works and 5th District Representative in the Virgin Islands (VI) House of Assembly (HoA), Hon Kye M. Rymer (R5) in promoting the event said a variety of goods and services will be available such as unique gift ideas and more for persons doing last-minute Christmas shopping.

The expo featured mostly small business owners for the District and included items for sale such as handcrafted items, books, jewelers, hampers, clothing, and other gift items. 

Other vendors also sold items like homemade pastries and foods for the festive season. The event was open from 9:00 am up until about 5:00 pm today, Saturday, December 23, 2023, in the initiative spearheaded by Hon Rymer. 

Our news Centre understands that moving forward, the Business Expo will be an annual one in the coming years.

    The district system is fruitless. Filled with political motives. The BVi is but Yeee big. The event Would have been more fruitful if all districts could have partaken in the event.
