Fire ravages South Valley VG home

SOUTH VALLEY, Virgin Gorda, VI - Information coming into Virgin Islands News Online (VINO) is that a fire tonight, Monday July 8, 2024, has ravaged a house and business reportedly belonging to one Ms Anne Leonard of South Valley, Virgin Gorda.

It remains unclear the cause of the fire, however, sources told our news centre that the upper flat building was occupied by Ms Leonard and a daughter.

The building also reportedly housed a bakery and convenience store on the lower flat. 

Up to publication time, our news centre understands that a local fire truck and other officials were mobilised to the scene to control the blaze. 

Our News Centre will bring more information as it becomes available.

    It is always so sad to see a person's home go up in flames. Also, a business was lost, even more heartbreaking.
