HARRIGAN'S ESTATE, Tortola, VI- Less than a week after a fire destroyed a popular shoe store on Waterfront Drive in Road Town, information reaching our newsroom is that fire destroyed a living room of an apartment in Harrigan's Estate on Sunday September 11, 2016.

The incident reportedly occurred sometime around 1:00 P.M.

According to information reaching this newsroom, there was one person in the apartment at the time of the fire, the cause of which is still unknown to this news site. 

The Virgin Islands Fire and Rescue Services was called in and the blaze was contained to the living room of the apartment.

Chief Fire Officer Zebalon A. McLean confirmed our information today, September 13, 2016 but said he did not have any additional details at hand.

It was on September 6, 2016 that fire destroyed Hazem's Shoe Store.
