OIL NUT BAY, Virgin Gorda, VI- BVI Finance has announced the dates for the 2027 edition of Fintech on the Seas: May 31 to June 2, 2027.

Junior Minister for Financial Services and Economic Development, Hon Lorna G Smith, OBE (AL), said, "Fintech on the Seas has become an important part of how we showcase the British Virgin Islands to the world.”

Hon Smith said Fintech on the Seas brings international decision-makers to our shores and allows them to see firsthand the expertise, infrastructure and commitment that underpin our financial services industry.

“As we prepare to welcome the conference back in 2027, we look forward to building on the relationships and opportunities created over the past two years."

The Virgin Islands will welcome some of the world's leading voices in digital finance for the third edition of its flagship international digital assets conference.

Event earned a place on global conference calendar

BVI Finance said that since its launch in 2025, Fintech on the Seas has quickly earned a place on the global conference calendar, growing into an important meeting point for regulators, policymakers, investors, fintech entrepreneurs and financial services professionals, attracting international attention to the BVI and its expanding role in digital finance.

The Chief Executive Officer of BVI Finance, Elise Donovan, said, "When we first introduced Fintech on the Seas in 2025, our ambition was to create a conference that would attract serious international participation while offering something genuinely different. Two editions later, we have seen that ambition come to life.”

The event will return to Necker Island in 2027, allowing the VI to build on that success in a setting that has become synonymous with the conference.

“The conversations taking place here are relevant well beyond the BVI, and we want to continue creating an environment where the people shaping digital finance can engage directly with one another and address the questions that matter most to the industry," Donovan said.
