NECKER ISLAND, VI- FinTech on the Seas: the BVI’s Digital Assets Summit, put on by BVI Finance, returns to the Virgin Islands (VI) in June 2026.

Following a successful inaugural 2025 edition, FinTech on the Seas 2026 “ups the game”, according to BVI Finance. 

Over the course of three days, June 22 to 24, 2026, just over 150 leaders, regulators, founders, fund managers, and tech pioneers who are shaping digital finance in 2026 and beyond will come together. 

The first two days will be held on Sir Richard C.N. Branson’s storied 74-acre retreat on Necker Island. These two days will include exclusive discussions, workshops, and barefoot networking. 

On the third day, FinTech on the Seas moves to Oil Nut Bay on Virgin Gorda. 

2026 Programme Highlights

The main programme highlights for FinTech on the Seas 2026 include:

  • Tokenised Funds & Assets: Structuring advantages of the BVI Business Companies Act and beyond. 
  • DAOs & Legal Wrappers: From CLBGs to BORGs governance that scales.
  • Stablecoins & CBDCs: The new liquidity layer for global trade. 
  • Next-Gen DeFi: Risk, regulation and the path to institutional adoption. 
  • AI-Driven Crypto Markets: How machine learning is remaking market-making, asset management and governance. 
  • AML in a Borderless World: Meeting FATF standards while building frictionless user journeys. 
  • When Things Go Wrong: Case-study deep-dives on hacks, insolvencies and dispute-resolution in offshore courts.

FinTech on the Seas 2025 saw participants from the VI, Costa Rica, Guernsey, Hong Kong, Singapore, Cayman Islands, the Bahamas, the USA, Canada, Luxembourg, Panama, and Ireland.
