Chronic diseases a ‘significant health problem’ in VI - Health Minister
DUFF'S BOTTOM, Tortola, VI - Chronic diseases, which according to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) includes illnesses like heart disease, some cancers and diabetes, have been categorised as significant health issues in the Virgin Islands (VI). This is according to Minister for Health and Social Development, Hon Carvin Malone (AL).

Diabetes Awareness Month: Calendar of Events
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - November is celebrated annually/internationally as Diabetes Awareness Month. This observance started when a United Nations Resolution was ratified in 1991. It is recognised that diabetes is a “chronic debilitating and costly disease associated with severe complications.”
