'More library hours needed'- Douglas Wheatley
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- As the Virgin Islands wrapped up Library Week 2015 observances, radio talk show host Douglas Wheatley called for more library hours to facilitate the working public.
UPDATE: Library Services Dept. still stuck with faulty vehicle- Report
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Although the 2011 report of the Library Services Department had stated that a new vehicle was needed and that the current one was unsuitable and a safety hazard, the Department was still stuck with the same vehicle, according to the 2012 report laid in the House of Assembly by Minister for Education and Culture Hon. Myron V. Walwyn on November 19, 2013.
UNESCO Act of 2009 to be updated said Governor McCleary
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - While delivering the speech from the throne, Governor of the Virgin Islands Mr. Boyd McCleary stated, that as a part of initiatives to be implemented or amended in the Virgin Islands, the existing United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Act of 2009 will be updated along with the introduction of a new legislation in relation to the erection of a National Library.
