Governor requests observers for 2023 General Elections in VI
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Sources within Government House have informed our news centre that His Excellency John J. Rankin, CMG has requested the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) to observe the April 24, 2023 General Elections in the Virgin Islands (VI).
Elections observers' recommendations should be heeded – Gov Duncan
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- His Excellency the Governor, John S. Duncan OBE said the advice of the elections observers, which speaks to the fact that greater improvements are needed in the voting and counting processes as well as to address the deficiencies in regulatory framework, should be heeded.
Virgin Islands Party calls for election observers
EAST END, Tortola, VI – Chairman of the Virgin Islands Party Honourable Julian Fraser, RA (R3) has made a call for the presence of election observers at the June 8, 2015 polls and has also challenged the Commissioner of Police David Morris to have unbiased police officers at polling stations throughout the territory.

Election Observers could affect perception of VI – Skelton
HOPE HILL, East End, VI – It was reported that Governor Boyd McCleary allegedly informed the opposition leader that international observers will monitor the Territory’s General Elections, and now at least one National Democratic Party (NDP) member is questioning if the “Queen’s representative is trying to destroy the financial services sector”.
