Pruce invokes colonial powers; Gives Ullger 3-month extension
GOVERNMENT HOUSE, Tortola, VI- Showing that we are just a colony and need not be listened to, the United Kingdom-appointed Governor, Daniel Pruce, has defied the National Security Council (NSC) and the Police Service Commission (PoSC) over the extension of Interim Acting Police Commissioner Richard Ullger.
VI calls on UK & other Colonial Powers to support self-determination of OTs
DILI, Timor-Leste: Virgin Islands (VI) Special Envoy Mr E. Benito Wheatley has called on the nations classified as Administering Powers to set aside their national interests in support of the self-determination of the 17 remaining Territories over which they have control who fall under the remit of the United Nations (UN) Special Committee on Decolonisation (C-24) mandated to assist the Territories in achieving a full measure of self-government and eradicating the last vestiges of colonialism.
