UN Roadmap to improve development finance access launched in VI
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI—Premier and Minister of Finance of the Virgin Islands, Dr the Honourable Natalio D. Wheatley (R7), on March 15, 2025—officially launched the United Nations (UN) Eastern Caribbean Overseas Territories Roadmap for Improving Access to Development Finance.

BRIDGETOWN, Barbados- In response to the high costs faced by Small Island Developing States (SIDS) to adapt to the negative effects of climate change and achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030, the [British] Virgin Islands (VI) and United Nations (UN) are collaborating to help position several Eastern Caribbean governments to gain better access to development finance for sustainable development and climate resilience.
