Election observers release 14 recommendations for future VI elections
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – The Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) independent election observation mission has published 14 recommendations in their final report on the Virgin Islands (VI) 2023 General Elections, citing concerns over campaign financing and Belongership status among some issues in the Election.
2023 Elections- Full Advance Polling Day results in VI
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - As tabulators gather at the Multi-Purpose Sports Complex in Road Town, Tortola, for the results of the 2023 election in the Virgin Islands, below are the full results of Advance Polling Day last Thursday, April 20, 2023, as announced tonight April 24, 2023, by the Supervisor of Election, Ms. Scherrie N. Griffin.
No campaigning, restricted alcohol sale on Elections Day– Elections Act
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Candidates contesting the 2023 General Elections in Virgin Islands (VI) are being notified that there is to be no campaigning on Election Day, April 24, 2023, as specified under the Elections Act.
Preliminary voters’ list available for inspection
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - The Preliminary Voters’ List for 2023 is available for inspection. Supervisor of Elections Ms. Scherrie Griffin said in accordance with Section 18 (5)(a) of the Elections Act, 1994 and Amendments, the list is available for inspection for a period of four days ending on March 21.
2023 polling locations approved
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - Polling stations for the 2023 General Election are now approved by His Excellency the Governor Mr. John J. Rankin, CMG. Supervisor of Elections Ms. Scherrie N. Griffin said voters are expected to vote in the polling division to which they are assigned based on their geographic location within their district.

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI– With a date for elections in 2023 yet to be named, Premier and Minister of Finance, Dr the Hon Natalio D. Wheatley (R7) has assured that elections will come in 2023, and there should be no uncertainty over what is constitutionally due.
Registered voters encouraged to apply to be Elections Officers
