ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- As the Territory today, Monday, November 28, 2022, celebrates the Great March of 1949 which led to the restoration of the Legislative Council in 1950, Virgin Islanders have been told not to take its democracy for granted.
Commemorative book 'The 1949 March' launches this week
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Director of Culture, Dr Katherine Smith said the Department of Culture will be launching the book, "The 1949 Great March" with a special kind of pride and excitement on the 71st anniversary of the commemorative day.
