Andrew A. Fahie files Notice of Appeal
MIAMI, Florida, USA- After being sentenced to 11 years in prison in relation to cocaine smuggling and money laundering charges on August 5, 2024, former Premier of the Virgin Islands Andrew A. Fahie has filed a Notice of Appeal.
VI pays '2.7 times more in court fees than other jurisdictions' under ECSC- Daniel F. Davies
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Young local lawyer Mr Daniel F. Davies has reportedly made a complaint to the Complaints Commissioner for what he said was the inequality in court fees the Virgin Islands is made to pay to the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court (ECSC) in contrast to other jurisdictions under the ECSC.
Petition calls for Speaker to pay court bill out of pocket
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Even though the Speaker of the Virgin Islands had legitimate reasons to challenge the three attorney generals working in the Virgin Islands for the United Kingdom-sponsored Commission of Inquiry (CoI) and was seen as the Virgin Islands standing up for itself and making the statement that no one is above the law, some members of the public are having none of it.
