Fire And Rescue Service Receive 16 Heart Defibrillators
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - The Virgin Islands Fire and Rescue Service is the recipient of 16 much needed lifesaving defibrillators. The devices, which are used to revive the heart of someone who is in cardiac arrest, were handed over by His Excellency the Governor, Mr. John Rankin, CMG who was joined by the Minister for Transportation, Works and Utilities, Honourable Kye M. Rymer.
Raging fire engulfs vehicle @ Soldiers Hill
SOLDIERS HILL, Tortola VI – Sometime on Sunday, April 7, 2019, a car burst into flames as it was going up Soldiers Hill on the north eastern side of Tortola.
Pickup truck explodes; engulfed in flames near Lower Estate
LOWER ESTATE, Tortola, VI- It was sometime yesterday, Thursday May 17, 2018, around 5:15 P.M. that a pickup truck caught on fire in the area close to Lower Estate. No one was injured and the cause of the fire is being investigated by both the Fire and Rescue Service and the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF).
VI Fire Officers away on United Kingdom attachment
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - Leading Fire Officers and Emergency Medical Technicians Messrs Benson Thomas and Gaston Walters are currently on an attachment with the West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service Brigade in the United Kingdom from February 6th to 24th as the Virgin Islands Fire and Rescue services continues to build capacity.
