ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI– With an estimated 2 years to implement the 48 sweeping recommendations as laid out in the Commission of Inquiry (CoI) report of Sir Gary R. Hickinbottom, Governor John J. Rankin, CMG detailed that the Virgin Islands Government led by Premier and Minister of Finance, Dr the Hon Natalio D. Wheatley (R7), along with future governments, must meet strict delivery milestones to avoid serious repercussions.

LONDON, United Kingdom- While the Government of the Virgin Islands (VI) had complained to the United Kingdom (UK) Government of the alleged disregard for the Virgin Islands Constitution, disrespect to the legislature and disregard for the right of the territory to seek more autonomy and ultimately independence by then-governor Augustus J. U. Jaspert, it did nothing, according to Premier Andrew A. Fahie (R1), but has instead rewarded Jaspert with royal honour.
