Tortola man charged in USVI with Illegal Re-entry & Child Sexual Exploitation Material

CHARLOTTE AMALIE, St Thomas, USVI— A man who was deported to Tortola in May and barred from entering the United States for five years is facing federal charges after agents identified him in Havensight, US Virgin Islands, last Friday, June 26, 2026, and later alleged that a seized cellphone contained material involving the sexual exploitation of minors.

Shappert for the District of the US Virgin Islands (USVI) recently announced that Warren Michael Whyte, a citizen of Guyana, was sentenced after previously pleading guilty to illegally re-entering the United States after being ordered deported and removed.
