‘Give 1st time property owners 100% financing’- Premier to local banks
DUFF'S BOTTOM, Tortola, VI- The leader of the Government of the Virgin Islands has appealed to banks operating in the territory to grant first time homeowners or property owners who are Belongers 100% financing to purchase property under the new Stamp Duty Waiver initiative.
513 sales & over $5M exempted during Stamp Duty waiver period- Premier Fahie
DUFF’S BOTTOM, Tortola, VI- Some 513 sales were done and over $5M was forfeited by government during the Stamp Duty waiver period that lasted from May 7, 2020, to December 2021, Premier and Minister of Finance Hon Andrew A. Fahie (R1) has stated.
Gov’t offering 100% reduction on property tax interests
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- As the Andrew A. Fahie-led Virgin Islands Party (VIP) Government continues to look at ways to assist the people during this coronavirus pandemic, it is now extending to property owners a 100% reduction on property tax interests accrued for the 2020 tax year and prior years.
