Cruise ships requesting vaccinated taxi drivers, businesses - Premier
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Premier and Minister of Finance, Hon Andrew A. Fahie (R1) has indicated that the cruise ships coming to the territory in June 2021, will be coming with fully vaccinated passengers and crews and, as such, will only be supporting businesses and taxi drivers that are vaccinated.

Fahie (R1) has revealed that before getting vaccinated for COVID-19 on February 24, 2021, he had some concerns about the AstraZeneca jab; however, after research and assurance, he decided to take the shot out of the need to do what is right for his family and the territory.

Fahie (R1) has indicated that whether the territory is 80% vaccinated or not, the Virgin Islands (VI) will fully re-open in June 2021, given his government has done all it could to balance lives and livelihoods, and to encourage vaccination.
Fahie Gov’t concerned CoI is ‘a conclusion already written’

Fahie (R1) says his administration remains concerned that the Commission of Inquiry (CoI) issued by the ex-governor, Augustus J. U. Jaspert, with the backing of the United Kingdom (UK) Government, is a conclusion already made and an attack on local government.
