Police escape injury as man attempts to drive through crime scene

FREDERIKSTED, ST. Croix, USVI — A man who reportedly tried to drive through a crime scene — almost running over several police officers in the process — is now facing felony assault charges before the V.I. Superior Court.

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Kyle Gumbs, 23, was handed a fine or an alternative in prison when he appeared in the Magistrate’s Court yesterday, April 12, 2013 for allegedly driving over the feet of a security guard at the Festival Village four years ago.
