US citizens do not require ETA to visit VI- Premier Wheatley clarifies
BAUGHERS BAY, Tortola, VI- United States (VI) visitors to the Virgin Islands (VI) do not presently require Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA), Premier and Minister of Finance, Dr the Hon Natalio D. Wheatley (R7) has said.
UK requires US travellers to obtain ETA
LONDON, England, UK- Effective January 8, 2026, all travellers to the United Kingdom (UK) from the United States (US) are required to obtain an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) if they do not have a UK visa or legal residency in the UK or the Republic of Ireland.
Eta strengthens into a hurricane
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Eta strengthened into a hurricane early Monday, November 2, 2020, and is forecast to get stronger in the next 24 hours, possibly turning it into a Category 3 by the time it makes landfall in Nicaragua early Tuesday, November 2, 2020, according to the National Hurricane Centre.
