HoA passes Register of Interests’ bill with amendments
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- After a marathon session in a Committee of the whole House, the Virgin Islands Legislature- called the House of Assembly (HoA)- voted last week to approve the controversial Register of Interests Bill.
Gov Rankin assents to Register of Interests Act while making demands
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- The United Kingdom appointed Governor John J. Rankin, CMG a few days ago assented to the Register of Interests (Amendment) Act, 2022. This was one of the many recommendations coming out of the controversial one-man Commission of Inquiry (CoI) report.
