UWI Scholarship $$$ to local students should decrease - Dr. Potter
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- In relation to ‘significant changes’ that are to be made in the educational system, Acting Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Education and Culture, Dr. Marcia Potter recommended that the $25,000 scholarship given to students attending the University of the West Indies (UWI) should be reduced and a portion of that money should be kept by Government to pay the economic cost to the university.
Traffic offenses reach 103 in two months!
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – The issue of traffic matters causing backlog in the court system was brought to the forefront during the 2012 Standing Finance Committee SFC) deliberations with the disclosure that there were already some 103 traffic cases before the court at the time of the SFC deliberations in February 2012.

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Minister for Health and Social Development Hon. Ronnie Skelton believes that if a Medical School is properly established in the Virgin Islands (VI), more persons would be involved in the health care of the Territory and legislation can also be amended to accommodate it.
