Some civil servants still not paid increments despite the many promises
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- The strikes and rumours of strikes have died down; however, our news centre has been advised that some civil servants, members of statutory organisations, and retired and resigned civil servants have still not been paid their increments.
Crafts Alive vendors given more time to pay outstanding rent
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Vendors of Crafts Alive who have outstanding rent payments to Government have been given more time to fulfill their obligation, according to Deputy Premier and Minister for Transportation, Works and Utilities Hon Kye M. Rymer (R5).
Festival 2015 performers will be paid, 'trust me’ – Premier Smith
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Premier and Minister of Finance Dr The Honourable D. Orlando Smith on Thursday January 21, 2016 acknowledged that Government should have paid local performers of Emancipation Festival 2015 before the end of last year.
Local entertainers still not paid for Festival 2015
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Almost half a year since they performed at Festival 2015, local bands who graced the stages of the various Festivilles have yet to receive all of their monies from Government. According to reports some have been paid for performances outside of Road Town while others have not received a dime.
