Legislation coming to allow for monitoring & tracking of sex offenders
DUFF’S BOTTOM, Tortola, VI– The Virgin Islands will be introducing ‘The Sexual Offences Bill’ to provide a gender-sensitive legal framework relating to a broad range of sexual crimes in the territory as part of new legislation for 2022.

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- It is almost five months that the Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) has been without a Commissioner following the departure of United Kingdom national David Morris in August 2015 and the subsequent snubbing of the post by Assistant Chief Constable for Sussex Police in the UK, Mr Robin Smith in October 2015.
High Court Judge thinks VI law too soft on sex offenders
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – “I have looked at the cases submitted to me and they show, among other matters, that there is a prevalence of sexual offenders in this jurisdiction (Virgin Islands),” Justice Darshan Ramdhani was keen on pointing out yesterday afternoon, February 17, 2015 as he passed sentence on former legislator Andre Penn.
