Relatives suing Gov't over inmate’s death at HMP
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – The Attorney General’s Office has confirmed that the relatives of a St. Thomas man, who was serving time in Her Majesty’s Prison (HMP) for firearm and drug possession, are suing the Virgin Islands’ Government for his 2009 death in the correctional facility.
Alcoholic deportee claims officers went “ballistic” on him
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- A known alcoholic, who appeared in the Magistrate’s Court at John’s Hole this morning November 14, 2011, alleged officers assaulted him causing him severe injuries, including a broken leg and wrist.
